Our Story
Some places you visit. Others become part of who you are. Believe Safari began with the desire to share that feeling—to welcome travellers into the Africa its people know and love.
For Fareen Samji, that welcome is personal. Kenyan-born and Canadian-educated, Fareen is a travel and golf enthusiast whose passion for sharing Kenya comes from a lifelong connection to home. She wants guests to feel the anticipation of an early morning game drive, hear the stories behind the places they visit, and experience the warmth of the people who make a journey unforgettable.
At the heart of Believe Safari are Director Gathuni Ikua and the Believe Safari team, whose constant local support over 25 years has made that welcome possible. They are the people who can spot a lion from a mile away—and whose knowledge, relationships and care help guests feel at ease from the moment they arrive. Their experience brings something no guidebook can offer: the reassurance of travelling with people who know the place as home.
Together, Fareen, Gathuni and the team bring local knowledge and a traveller’s perspective to every journey. What began in Kenya has grown through trusted relationships in Morocco and Egypt, where Fareen shares her enthusiasm for discovering a country through golf, history, landscapes and everyday encounters.
